Any time, really sorry for the confusion!
Tuesday morning update. August 3rd preorder #37xxx (4 switches and a bypass) still unfulfilledā¦
pokes ZWP with a stick to see if itās aliveā¦
I still havenāt received any notification from my may preorder but 3 posts above this someone got their SEPTEMBER order fulfilled. If I donāt get a shipping notification or any update in the next few days Iām going to try and get a refund and just not consider inovelli again. Itās a bummer my friends all have them and all recommended them but this just doesnāt give me the confidence to place a future order.
Agreed thatās a kick in the junk to hear ā still no movement on my 3 orders from May & July.
I should just stop watching this thread and hope/pray/incant that ZWP doesnāt screw this up to the point they whiff some of the pre-ordersā¦ I know thereāve been reassurances that wonāt happen, but itās hard to keep the faith when you hear very-last-minute orders like that one are still getting shipped ahead of any remaining pre-orders.
It would be unfortunate to blame Inovelli for a 3rd party screwing them and by 1-2 weeks of delay in shipping. The demand and product itself is well worth waiting for.
Iām sure Eric has learned from this experience and will contractually revise their agreement with ZWP. Inovelli did not have any control over distribution, and it sounds like ZWP oversold their capabilities.
Dibs on the stock return.
I ordered 40 switches in April and just received my shipping notice last night. I was okay waiting and have no complaints about receiving later than others because I know the product will be great, and the company behind the product is even greater. Try getting the CEO or CTO of Jasco, Philips, or GE to respond to a forum post.
Theyāre coming people.
Hereās where I disagreeā¦ Inovelli voluntarily ceded their control over the process, a decision for which they bear 100% responsibility. Where Eric & company differ is, as you say, learning from the experience and taking corrective action. My hope is that the promised reforms will be long-lasting and have a positive effect going forward - there have been quite a few statements made about how order fulfillment would take place that turned out to be premature or inaccurate (either wholly or in part). My trust level in Inovelli is diminished, for certain, based on the multiple times the story has shifted.
Having said that, Eric confirmed to me in a PM that they are re-claiming some direct control over which orders are grouped together for the remaining batches. It sounds like (and here Iām making inferences) they still donāt have 100% control over the process, but they are able to inject a bit more sense into ZWPās incomprehensible methodology. How much sense? I donāt knowā¦ my pre-order from April 21 finally has a tracking #, but thereās at least one May order that doesnāt, while a September order is sitting next to mine on the dock. Itāll probably be an uphill battle with ZWP until they finally ship the last parcel, after which I truly hope nothing like this ever happens again at Inovelli.
No question, I literally asked if Eric was on a plane to the shop to pack these himself. Sounds like his team is getting directly involved.
Iām not directly impacted so I can understand being anxious, and it does seem unfair that they shipped later orders (their own) before others.
Only way forward is to get more people on the line and learn from this failure to execute on ZWPās part.
Datapoint here. Received 2 from ZWP that I ordered in September about a week.5 before just receiving my 2 pre-order units last week. Some things make you go āhmmmm?ā
Just donāt get to excited when u receive your shipping notification. Got mine last Thursday, from a day one pre order, and it still hasnāt moved! Which imo is crazy. A day or 2 wait I get, going on like 5 now. If they are only shipping pallets once a week, like some one suggested then again thatās crazy bc Iām sure they were told of the importance on everyoneās excitement to get there hands on these. Imo ZWP was under prepared and or oversold themselves to inovelli on shipping these out big time. And if this how they ship there normal orders then I wonāt be ordering anything from them. When you can get mostly anything shipped and delivered within 2-3 days from the other side of the country.
Data point-- just received the shipping notification for a June 30th pre-order (#36xxx), shipped via UPS.
1x 10 pack of blues
1x 10 pack of whites / aux
Yet to actually hit a truck obviously, all thatās happened is label creation, but. Figured helpful for anyone waiting on shipment for 10-packs. Excited to get these in the wall! Thankfully in no rush, save for the anticipation
Yeah thatās weird ā can you let me know what company is being used? UPS/USPS/FedEx, etc?
Iām wondering if they have scheduled pickup days or something because Iām noticing a pattern here. There was a day where a lot of orders appeared to have been fulfilled in our system (a shocking amount), but yet there was still a lot of activity in this thread, so I was confused. Then that number didnāt move for a while, so Idk if theyāre just printing labels and waiting for pickup or what.
Hallelujah - praise be the shipping gods!
Just got notification my three orders (2 from May / 1 early July) have shipped / fulfilled. Hope all other pre-orders are fulfilled soon for folks waiting.
Label created for my two orders. Looks like they are shipping together in a single shipment. Still pending pickup by UPS, but label is created and starting to see movement.
I got the tracking info last tuesday or wednesday, and I think it actually got into UPS hands on Friday. It seems like theyāre printing labels and packing orders all week, and have just one pickup.
Just got the email stating my order has shipped. Never got a label created message.
nvm. Just checked the tracking and the label was created but hasnāt shipped.
After ship shows UPS. Someone else stated they had noticed this delay as well and figured they were only picking up once a week based of that delay. Makes sense to me. But wouldnāt they want to get them out asap to help the situation, not to mention themselves look a little better!?
Definitely a pattern. I ordered my 4 switches on April 21, 2022. Received an email saying mine were shipping on October 20 and as of today, UPS is still showing āShipment Ready of UPSā which translates to: label was printed, but box may have not even been packaged up at this point or is still sitting on a dock waiting to be picked up 5 days later.
More movement. Should still be here Thursday. Just hang tight everyone. they are shipping, and most likely a weekly pickup on Fridays. (This is a normal process for large pre orders) I see many getting upset at inovell and how things have been handled. You need to understand that this is how things go sometimes. I have work on the shipping side of huge preorders and completely understand how things can go. The inovell team is doing everything that can to get these shipped out ASAP. And from a post Eric posted a while ago, the owner of ZWP is just as upset and they are both working together to make sure thigs like this donāt happen in the future.
Just give them a chance. I wish more people understood first hand how hard preorders can be and that a weekly pickup is way more cost effective. They get a discount for [picking up in bulk instead of picking up daily with an unknow amount.
When we did pre orders, we would print the label and the packing together and then hand them off to the picker, make things faster and less prone to errors. They would pick, pack, and slap the label on the box, then someone would inspect it and seal the box.
Another reason they have a weekly pickup is they print x amount of labels and get orders packed, if they are not done they have to finish the list before its picked up so they can reconcile the list to UPS. (UPS does not scan each package upon pickup, just the reconcile list , they get scanned at the sorting facility once they arrive and are sorted.)
Its a heck of a proccess, I think to many are use to amazon and how fast things arrive, pre orders are a whole different story, add a new shipper, and issues learning the setup, it causes a delay. I know inovell is doing everything thing they can and more, many other companies would just be like we to bad for you. Looking at you Dell Computers.
My 2 cents have a wonderful week and hope everyone gets there tracking in by end of week and sees movement by Monday.
It hard to change mid shipping with UPS, they get a contact set and negotiated pricing. if they make changes to it afterwards it a huge cost to change to daily. As they then charge a premium to change. And the might not even be able to change it with UPS. (JUST and FYI)
