I know that @Eric_Inovelli and I are working on getting the listings created. Hope to have it done in a few days.
So, as another person interested from Canada, I’m looking for some clarification…
The post starts with Eric saying “I’m going to let you in on a little secret for Black Friday (this will be available to both US and Canada)”
It seems the reality is, the bulbs are not certified for use in Canada, so thats of no help to take advantage of this black Friday sale… And the Inovelli website has no options to buy from or ship to Canada in the cart???
Sorry, not trying to be rude, just want to clarify this?
Thanks for finding these! Looks like the RGBW bulb can only go down to 2700K? (But on the bright side, both support a “default power-on” setting, the wording for which I hope gets fixed in the RGBW actual manual since the one that’s posted on the Alliance describes this parameter with a such a bad translation that I almost thought it was what turns the bulb on and off.)
We are working on a Black Friday deal for Canada. Hope to announce more about it soon!
Wonderful! Thanks for the quick reply Nathan!
@Eric_Inovelli so I see it’s shipping 12/3, I assume for the bulbs? Any chance we can get summers now and bulbs in a separate shipment?
Also looking forward to a Canadian deal on dimmers. The bulb certification issue works in my favour since I do not need the bulbs. Thumbs up for your manufacturer.
Thanks for the sale but I agree with many others that I have zero need for RGBW bulbs and would rather see a discount on dimmers and switches.
I’d also be up for a trade in program for my older Inovelli dimmers that have issues like 3-way switch delays on LED loads and the fact that some show up as Zooz and I have to spend hours researching workarounds for Home Assistant.
Im looking forward to the deal for Canadians, specially since I have no need for the bulbs
I was hoping for a deal with just dimmers as all the fixtures that would utilize a A19 bulb that I wanted to be RGB are already RGB. If these were BR30’s i’d be more inclined to jump on the deal but it’s understandable that the A19 is the first choice as it’s more prevalent.
No Love for Canada (“in the works”… :S) and only a 4pack + Bulbs.
I feel you guys (Inovelli) had a huge opportunity to make a significant splash in the home automation arena and really cement yourselves as technology leaders and innovators.
However, your product “bundle” limitation and lack of support for those of us North of the border, has caused you to lose significant momentum and fanbase, quickly.
I hope Inovelli does something spontanious to gain back those of us who are quickly moving on to other technologies and solutions (Hue, Caseta, Wifi) simply due to price, availability and access.
I likely refreshed multiple pages 50+ times a day in anticipation of the offer, now… Im doubling down on Caseta sadly because that is the only option available today.
Appreciate the inovation of No-Neutral Zwave, but you’ve lost my sale.
Good luck.
I love a sale as much as anyone, but this feels a bit over-the-top to me. Their dimmers were literally just released, and the pricing is actually quite good for the features as is. I’d be pretty surprised if they lost “significant” fanbase. Heck, my brother-in-law just grabbed 5 dimmers despite the sale not being live.
The sale was a bit disappointing to me, (I live in Canada and only need 2 dimmers anyway), but it’s not the end of the world.
Either way, I am looking forward to these finally being available in Canada.
I also have no need for the bulbs and was excited to finally get the dimmers I wanted with a good deal for them, too. But for me, with no use for the bulbs it means the switches are still around $36 each. I was going to order 16 of the dimmers and some red series on/off switches as well. I guess I will just have to wait longer now.
Agreed, so many people are whining and they only have themselves to blame. Eric basically told everyone what the deal would involve in the original post ```Hold off on buying any dimmers until we open the Black Friday deal next week when we open up the deal on our site.
I can’t say more right now, but just know it involves Dimmers and our new RGBW Bulbs… possibly some free product.```
Still people complain that the deal has bulbs they don’t need and that the sale doesn’t include on/off switches. Stop being pathetic and learn some reading comprehension. I feel for people North of the border but also know Inovelli will make it good to them. Thank you Inovelli for all the hard work and this great deal I looking forward to my 8 new switches and 4 new bulbs!
Quit your whinin’ about our whinin’.
I love you Inovelli team.
@flipontheradio In hindsight, Eric was alluding to a deal was on Dimmers AND Bulbs as a package, but he never said it was going to be a package. He said those wanting to buy dimmers to hold off, but we really didn’t need to hold off as they are not selling just dimmers at a sale price. All prior sales on the switches were not bundles. So, I think many were expecting their would be dimmers on sale and, separately, bulbs on sale this time around, and we’re not expecting a dimmer/bulb package as the actual sale.
Eric also said Canada would be included on this sale, just like the prior sales, but, would be via their site instead of Amazon.ca.
As of right now, this bundle is not offered to Canada, because the bulbs aren’t certified and the dimmers are still not for sale on their own either to Canada. Dimmers are for sale only in the US.
Yes hindsight is 20/20 but you keep saying “expecting” because your personal expectations were not met. Who’s fault is that? Above you posted “Another messed up sale. No sale on just dimmers like the switches. Instead you get free bulbs I don’t need and have to buy in quantities of four only. And the sale goes live early at 12AM instead of 12PM”. None of that makes for a messed up sale you just “expected” something different. YES as I said I feel bad for Canada and will agree that portion of this sale seems “messed up” but it sounds like you weren’t a buyer even if it wasn’t an issue. My post wasn’t about you just the people who are impossible to make happy. They offered a deal, take it or leave it.
Do I need a Dimmer switch to be able to dim RGB bulbs or could a Red Series Switch do the trick?
Can the Red Series Dimmer switches be configured such that when I hold “down” the paddle, it will dim RGB bulbs and when I hold “up”, the bulbs will get brighter?
