We bought five of the Zephyr switches to install in five identifcal fan setups.
Four of them work great, one is always operating in smart bulb mode despite trying to change it.
They were all setup the same. In SmartThings the non-working switch says that it is changing smart bulb mode on and off, but the switch itself never changes into the regular - switch turns it on and off - mode.
When swapped with the original, dumb switch it works as expected so it’s not a wiring issue.
Any ideas? We tried a factory reset (config button and up paddle) but that didn’t fix it, just made us set it up again with the same results.
Can you try manually changing it? Sometimes I’ve noticed SmartThings has network issues with changing parameters. Very rare, but it happens.
To disable Smart Fan Mode, please follow these directions:
Hold down on the bottom part of the paddle (off) while simultaneously tapping the configuration button four (4) times (do not let go of the paddle when finished tapping the config button). Wait for the LED Bar to flash solid blue (and then let go of the paddle) indicating the switch has disabled Smart Fan Mode.
The manual change worked, thank you! It seems to be receiving other signals from ST just fine, so we’ll assume it’s one of live’s mysteries and move on. Really appreciate the help!
