Does anyone know if the LZW60 will stay awake and route ZWave messages if powered by the USB cable?

It can be configured to work that way, but it takes a bit of work.
You have to first upgrade to firmware version 2.5.
Then exclude the sensor.
Then include it, but instead of pressing the button 1 time to include, press it 5 times.
If successful, the sensor will now be a routing node, regardless of how it’s powered. But you definitely want to keep it on USB from now on, otherwise it will eat through batteries like the cookie monster.
