What does the parameter "HigherOutputInNonNeutral" do?

Question in title. I search the entire documentation online and can’t find this called out. I have a non-neutral overhead LED downlight controlled by a switch. I’m occasionally getting some flickering and wondering if this would help my situation.

With a non-neutral, output is reduced to (I think) 80% to reduce flickering and reduce instability when used with an Aux switch. In a non-neutral 3-way configuration, this is to reduce communication issues that would cause the switch to reboot itself. When you set the parameter to 1, it allows for full output.

If yours is set to 1 and you’re getting flickering, change it to 0 to see if that resolved the issue. If you’re set to 0, you can try setting it to 1, but the flickering is usually eliminated by reducing the max output, not increasing it.

Here is the explanation from the Red 2-1 parameter listing. I believe the concept is the same for the Blue 2-1, however that listing is less verbose.

### Parameter 25 - Non-Neutral Output

To adjust the voltage output in non-neutral mode for your Red Series 2-1 Switch, you’ll want to adjust Parameter 25. By default, the switch throttles the output of the load in non-neutral mode so that it can effectively communicate with the aux switch (if needed) and/or minimize flickering. When the output is at its maximum, all the power to the switch is taken away by the bulb, which leads to signal instability, bulb flickering and can cause the switch to continuously reboot. You can remove this throttle and test the instability if you want your bulbs to be brighter by setting the value to 1. The default is 0, which puts the throttle on the switch.

NOTE: If you remove the throttle and experience flickering, you can change Parameter 10 (Max Dim Level) until the flickering stops.
